Living Wills

A living will, sometimes known as an advance health care directive, is a legal document in which a person provides instructions for what actions should or should not be taken with respect to their health care or medical care in the event the person becomes unable to make those decisions for themselves due to illness or incapacity. In a living will, a person may provide instructions regarding terminating care and ending life supports in the event he or she becomes terminally ill and on life support.

A living will is usually made in conjunction with the appointment of a person to make health care and medical decisions on your behalf.
